Beehive Coke Oven Project Dunbar Pennsylvania - Part 3
The last of the special taper cut bricks, firebricks and stone facings have been transported from their Coke Oven storage areas, and carefully palleted and transported to Dunbar PA to begin the tedious job of reconstructing a authentic beehive coke oven in the park. According to the HC Frick coke company official engineering and installation drawings the budgeted labor cost to build one oven of over 5000 bricks and stone is a whopping $20 at the turn of the century! We need your volunteer help!
